The Flathead County Library is proud to offer a summer reading program. Studies have shown that children who read regularly throughout the summer maintain their reading skills. Our program is free and is designed to encourage children to enjoy books all summer long.

An additional feature of our summer reading program is Readers to the Rescue. With Readers to the Rescue each time a participant reads over the minimum number of hours, the extra hours will be converted to money which will be donated to charity. In 2007 the children collectively donated over $900.00!

We also offer a wide variety of programs for children ages 2-10.  Please note that some programs are divided into age-appropriate groups, depending on the theme. The Library welcomes children of all ages.

In the summer of 2008 please join us to Catch the Reading Bug @ Your Library. Information will be available about this program in early June, 2008.
