The Overlook

The new Connelly mystery for summer reading is fun - and he pulls in a good many distractions from current events in the news to give the reader some leads that may or may not be accurate.
Dr. Stanley Kent has been murdered; shot in the back of his head on an overlook close to Mulholland Drive Harry Bosch is back with the LAPD and ready to tackle a big case as a member of the Homicide Special squad. What enemy could Dr. Kent possibly have, to execute him in this way - and for what reason?
Dr. Kent did have access to various cancer fighting radioactive drugs in almost all the hospitals in Los Angeles County. Put to the wrong uses could this be a cause of his death?
The FBI becomes involved as does Rachael Walling, an agent he has dealt with before, in both personal and professional capacities. Harry is excited, having been involved with Cold Cases in his recent past, it feels good to have a " fresh case " to solve. As usual Harry his own take on the case, which puts him in conflict with both the FBI and the LAPD.
Some elusive clues are dropped along the way for the armchair detectives, but which ones add up to the right answer, and will it come in time? Bosch's new partner, Iggy, adds to the puzzle, and in the end we are left wondering if the pieces fell in place in time for Harry, personally.
I'm a fan of Harry's, so I'm hoping for the best!
