Jane Lopp, Chair
Jane Lopp was appointed to the Library Board in 2008. She is the owner of Jane Lopp and Associates LLC, providing innovative insurance solutions and financial services. Jane is a Chartered Financial Consultant (CHFC), a Chartered Life Underwriter (CLU) and Certified in Long Term Care (CLTC). She has been a registered representative with Prudential for the past 20 years and represents Prudential on the Montana Life and Health Guarantee Association Board, of which she has been secretary/treasurer for the past 15 years.
Jane is an avid reader who has had a Flathead County Library card since 1958. She especially values the access to reference resources and audio books, and the broad variety of programs for children and adults. She is committed to maintaining a strong countywide library system.
Jane grew up in Great Falls and Lakeside and graduated from Flathead County High School and the University of Montana. She serves on the U-M School of Fine Arts Advisory Council and is active in the Kalispell Rotary Club.
Jane has had past experience in economic development and land use planning. Locally, she has been a 4-H leader, a member of the United Way Board, served on School District #5 advisory committees, and has chaired the Flathead County Health Board. She has been president of Kalispell Branch, American Association of University Women, and of Montana AAUW. She also chaired the Montana Human Rights Commission, the Montana Women in Employment Advisory Council, and the Montana Women’s Prison Site Selection Committee. She was also a member of the Montana Supreme Court Gender Equity Task Force.
Jane and her husband, Bob Lopp, received the 1995 Kalispell Chamber of Commerce Great Chief Award. They are the parents of two grown children and six granddaughters.
