The five members of the Flathead County Library Board of Trustees are appointed by the Flathead County Board of Commissioners to five year terms. The Flathead County Commissioners try to ensure that all geographical areas of the county are represented on the board.

Meetings
All meetings of the Flathead County Library Board of Trustees are open to the public. Regular meetings are scheduled for the fourth Thursday of each month at 7:00 p.m. and are usually held at the Flathead County Library in Kalispell in the basement meeting room, or at one of the branch libraries.
