Teens entering grades 6-12 are invited to join the teen summer reading program this year! The program runs from June 15- August 22, 2009. Registration begins June 15th.  Call Martha at 758.5713 for more info.

Here's How it Works:

 ·   Ten hours spent reading or listening to a book earns a prize. Each participant can earn two prizes, one in each session.

·   For hours you read over the 10 hour minimum in each of the summer sessions, the Friends of The Library will contribute to the Readers to the Rescue fund. Every 10 hours beyond the 10 hour requirement equals $1 donated to Human Therapy on Horseback, a local nonprofit that helps provide horseback therapy to people with disabilities.

·   Pick up a prize as soon as you reach 10 hours.  Begin reading for your second prize  July 20th.

·   When you receive your prizes, fill out an entry form for the grand prize drawings — we will be giving away a Flip video camcorder and $75 mall gift certificates!! Grand prizes will be drawn during the week of August 24th.

Reading prizes include awesome books, gift certificates to local eateries, and other sweet stuff.  Come and check it out!
